Kanji
Clearly one of the most challenging things about learning Japanese is mastering kanji, the Chinese characters adopted for use by Japanese over a thousand years ago. Understanding why kanji is used can be difficult to beginner learners, however, after some time the usefulness and practicality of kanji becomes clear. That is not to say it does not take dedication to learn the necessary kanji to make learning Japanese rewarding.

What I wanted to show you in this area is a very concise and extremely useful article on understanding and applying techniques to improve your understanding and ability write and look up kanji. Even in Japan you will often see people in the street writing imaginary kanji on the palms of their hand in an effort to remember the correct strokes or subtle differences between similar kanji. Therefore this guide should really assist you in developing your knowledge about how kanji works.
